Running your own Tor Server

Perhaps you've seen that map of the Internet (not, not that map) where there are several countries without free access to information. Perhaps you're concerned about your own privacy. If you've ever used Tor you know that it can provide some semblance of protection.
If you want to give back and run your own Tor server, you'll speed up the network and make it more useful for all involved. Recently, I found some instructions for doing that. My only concern is liability related.. what type of legal problems could one encounter for hosting an anonymity server in the US? If anyone knows, please post below!
